What inspired you to look into video interviewing?

A:

We started looking into video interviewing because we wanted an alternative to our first interview process. We knew doing something like this would free up time for our CEO to spend with our employees during morning meetings instead of conducting interviews all morning.

Did Spark Hire replace a similar tool or is this the first time your team is using video interviewing?

A:

Spark Hire is the first time we tried video interviews or anything like it.

We wanted something that was simple and user-friendly for our candidates.

A:

Spark Hire was the most cost-effective of all the options we looked into. Also, we wanted to be able to add our videos to the interview instead of candidates just answering the questions.

Since beginning to use Spark Hire, we have done video interviews with more than 2,000 candidates and our conversion rate is higher than when we did preliminary in-person interviews. Overall it has saved us so much time every single day, as our CEO can watch the completed interviews whenever he has time.

What was your team’s hiring process prior to using Spark Hire?

We would call a candidate and invite them to come in for the first interview in person. Often, we would have to bring candidates in for a second in-person interview.

How does video interviewing fit into your hiring process?

A:

Instead of candidates coming in for the first in-person interview, they complete a video interview first, then we invite the most qualified candidates to come in for a second interview.

How do you get your team members to buy into video interviewing?

A:

We made videos for the questions, which got them excited to see candidates’ answers to their questions. Also, Spark Hire freed up time for them to spend working with our CEO one-on-one.

TIME! We just have so much more time to spend with our current employees!
