Working in the hospitality industry, The Star’s recruitment team is expected to respond to large volumes of applications within a timely manner. Initially, The Star aimed to use Spark Hire to assist with these bulk recruitment efforts, but now it is used throughout the entire business to make higher quality hires faster than ever before.
This was the first-time using a video interview platform.
The most attractive aspect of Spark Hire was the ease of use. Not only is it easy for our recruiters to review candidates’ video interviews, but it is also simple and easy for our candidates to record their submissions.
Easy and simple. We particularly liked the tutorials and customer support offered.
There has been a noticeable decrease in the time-to-fill a job, with a better quality of hire.
Prior to Spark Hire, our recruiters would review the candidates’ applications and then conduct phone screens with suitable candidates.
We use Spark Hire as an initial screening tool prior to a phone screen or inviting candidates in for a face-to-face interview.
We introduced Spark Hire to our bulk recruitment portfolios first, and used the success found in this portfolio to highlight the benefits of Spark Hire. We have now had a dramatic adoption of video interviewing across the business.
Video interviewing has reduced the time to screen applicants and provided recruiters with increased flexibility to screen.
Our moment came when we recruited 126 new team members within a six-week period. Video interviewing allowed the team to screen huge volumes of applications without having to compromise the quality of hire.
The favourite aspect of video interviewing is the impact it has on the candidate experience. The candidate can prepare for a one-way video interview, as opposed to a phone screen where they may not be prepared. They can also record their video interview on their own time, wherever they please.
Customer service, ease of use, new features.
