The Vector Group International was looking for a solution to eliminate their phone screens and the high travel costs of flying in candidates. They also wanted to find a way to get hiring managers’ feedback on candidates as part of the pre-screening process.
We needed a way to raise the quality of the candidates that we were flying in to interview. There are a lot of intangibles that make a good candidate fit and video interviewing provides the opportunity to look for those intangibles with a candidate. These intangibles are especially important in positions that have a high customer facing aspect.
This was the first time we implemented video interviewing.
The platform had to be easy to use for candidates. We also wanted the ability to customize the candidate experience and share videos with hiring decision makers.
