The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space is the nonprofit organization tasked with managing, promoting and brokering research for the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory. The CASIS vision is to fully realize the unique scientific, technological and educational potential of the ISS National Lab by focusing both outwardly, toward exposing the scientific, technological and educational communities to the benefits that can come from research and operations in space, and inwardly, toward improving humankind's well-being on Earth.

Q:

How long have you been a Spark Hire customer?

A:

I met Spark Hire at the National SHRM conference in 2015 and I was instantly sold. I’ve been a customer ever since.

What challenges were you experiencing prior to using Spark Hire?

A:

Prior to using Spark Hire as a department of one, I was manually calling a lot of candidates, and it was very time-consuming.

How did Spark Hire help you overcome those challenges?

A:

Spark Hire has helped me expedite my hiring process. Spark Hire allows me to source multiple candidates at one time by sending out multiple emails and getting a look at these candidates with pre-screening video interviews instead of calling and talking to everyone on the phone. It’s an absolute time-saver for me.

Q:

What aspect of Spark Hire have you found to be the most valuable?

A:

I can gather all of the completed videos and send a link out to a hiring manager to let them prescreen and comment on the videos. It’s just a huge timesaver. We are a company that’s located across the US with employees and hiring managers in different locations so this gives them the virtual ability to view candidates through Spark Hire.

Q:

How long did it take you to get up and running?

A:

Quickly! It’s very user-friendly! I have a new hire that I’ve been training to help me with the system - I’m a department of one, but have someone helping me now - and she’s reached out to Spark Hire, they give her one-on-one training to use the platform as well as it just being a user-friendly tool.

How would you describe doing business with Spark Hire?

A:

Working with the Spark Hire team has been wonderful. It’s like they become part of your department! It’s easy to reach out to them, it’s easy to get help, and they stay in touch, making sure you understand the platform and updates to it.

Would you recommend Spark Hire to others?

A:

I absolutely would recommend Spark Hire to other HR professionals, this has been a huge time saver for me. The hiring managers love it, they are big advocates of it, and they ask me to use it. We change up the questions based on the job we are interviewing for. Using Spark Hire has been really simple and really fast to start.
