What inspired you to look into video interviewing?
I wanted to be able to streamline some of our internal processes and be able to present something more than just a CV to clients.
Did Spark Hire replace a similar tool or is this the first time your team is using video interviewing?
I have used some basic video interviews tools, however, Spark Hire allowed me to have more control over the way an interview is constructed.
What criteria did you have in mind for a video interviewing solution?
I was looking to control the structure of the interview and be able to easily share interviews with clients. I also wanted integration with my ATS.
What did you find most attractive about Spark Hire when signing up?
I liked the integration focus, customer support, and ease of set up. I also appreciated the quick account activation as I needed to be able to have something up and running fairly quickly.
What are some of the results you’ve seen with Spark Hire?
The results with Spark Hire have been incredible. I have clients that specifically give me more job orders because of the technology. 50% of my clients won't see a candidate if they haven't completed a video interview. Since I started with Spark Hire, I have had a success rate of over 85% with placements and a retention rate of 95%.
What was your team’s recruiting process prior to using Spark Hire?
We would begin with a phone screen and then meet a candidate face to face. Sometimes we would film a candidate giving an introduction to themselves to share with a client.
How does video interviewing fit into your recruiting process?
For more junior roles it replaces a face to face interview. We now just go into more detail on a phone screen beforehand.
How do you get your team members to buy in to video interviewing?
I explain to them Spark Hire will help them make more placements, save time, and have more money on the board.
What is the biggest impact that video interviewing has on your recruiting process?
Time to market. We can have a candidate fully screened and ready to be submitted to a client in 5-6 hours. The fastest was a candidate who completed their video interview 20 minutes after a phone screen. They were then submitted to the client, who had an interview with them and placed on the same day.
What was your aha moment -- the moment you knew you loved Spark Hire?
When Spark Hire started rolling out new features like the interview scheduling tool.It showed me Spark Hire was proactive in helping me do better business. The scheduler is specifically a great help if you are running bulk recruitment projects for clients and need to book phone screens.
